The Story

Noble Charities and Noble Texas Builders were honored to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the new VFW Post 2410 in Harlingen, Texas. Veterans, community leaders, elected officials, local media, and valued partners gathered at the original post site to mark the beginning of construction on a new facility that will serve local veterans and their families for generations to come. The ceremony was a meaningful and emotional milestone for everyone who has supported the project and believed in the importance of creating a safe, welcoming home for those who have served our country.

The event included remarks from community leaders and special guests, including Congressman Vicente Gonzalez and Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño Jr., alongside many veterans and members of the local community. H-E-B and Whataburger also joined the celebration, generously providing food and special activations for attendees. The strong turnout and support shown throughout the ceremony reflected the deep appreciation our community has for its veterans and the excitement surrounding this long-awaited project.

This effort began after Noble President and CEO Rene Capistran learned about the deteriorating condition of the post and shared its story with Noble’s partners at the 2024 Noble Charities Fishing Tournament. That moment inspired an incredible response from subcontractors, public officials, and community partners who contributed services, materials, and funding to help make the new facility possible. The groundbreaking ceremony was not only the start of construction but also a celebration of the generosity, collaboration, and shared commitment that brought this vision to life.
